Andreas Mikkelsen are back in Australia, at the same place where he finished off last season with a victory, admitting he would like to repeat the success from last year.

The WRC have travelled to Australia for the final event of the 2017 season. This will be Andreas’ third event with his new team; Hyundai Motorsport. After winning here last year, both Andreas and co-driver Anders Jæger are very happy to be “Down Under”.

- This is going to be a very exciting event, and I’m really looking forward to this one. I do believe we should be able to fight for a victory here, and it would be fantastic to repeat the success from last year. What an amazing end to a very special season that would be!

The rally is based in Coffs Harbors, north of Sydney. Andreas describes the event as a fun and very special rally. Many of the stages are run through the rainforest and lined with very high trees.

- For Rally Australia we have stages run through the rainforest, lined with extremely high trees. Visibility with morning and evening sun can be very challenging, and hanging dust doesn’t help.

While Andreas had a challenging road-position for the first day in Wales Rally GB, where he ended 4th, starting late could be more of an advantage in Australia. Andreas plan to make the most of first day, where it should be better to start later in the field.

- Normally it’s the early starters who cleans the gravel roads for the later starters in Australia. Hopefully the weather stays dry, so we can make the most of our starting position on the first day. There are other strong competitors starting close to us, so it will not be easy, but I’m starting to feel more at home in the car, and I would like to
